Summertime

July 19, 2010

It's been a very busy summer so far which kicked off with Sandi Thom as we embarked upon a support tour for Joe Bonamassa which included a date at London's legendary Hammersmith Apollo. If you'd like to see how that went down you can watch a video of us performing This Ol' World with special guest Marcus Bonfanti by clicking here. Next was two shows at this years Glastonbury Festival with both Marcus Bonfanti and Sandi Thom, then on to the Isle of Wight Festival for a show with the mighty Saint Jude. Here's a picture from the show...

I'm very happy to announce that Marcus Bonfanti has been nominated in two categories in this years British Blues Awards, for Best Males Vocals and Best Blues Album for his release What Good Am I To You? (2010, The Guitar Label). If you would like to show your support you can by voting here. Voting closes on July 31st and the winners will be announced at the awards ceremony on September 11th, 2010.

I'm also very honored to be part of a recent record we made at Abbey Road Studios for a very exciting new artist who will be launching later in the year. It features some amazing musicians including on drums Jeremy Stacey (Sheryl Crow, Tom Jones, Eurhythmics, Noel Gallagher), guitarist Paul Stacey (Black Crows, Oasis) and again my good friend Marcus Bonfanti. More news on this to come later in year.
